The NH Legislature has begun work to reauthorize Medicaid Expansion through Senate Bill 313. Granite State Health Care if passed will provide NH a solution to ensuring quality, affordable health care for low income workers in Granite Staters. Should lawmakers decide not to reauthorize Medical Expansion, the program providing healthcare access to 50,000 in NH sunsets at the end of December. The American Heart Association supports Medicaid Expansion which provides critical access to prevention, treatment, disease management, and care coordination services for the 28% of adults on Medicaid with a history of cardiovascular disease.
