Medicaid budget has passed and is now off to the Governor

We are excited to share that on April 27 the Idaho House voted 36-34 to fully fund Idaho's Medicaid program. The Senate voted in March to support SB 1185, Idaho’s Medicaid budget legislation, and the bill is now on its way to the Governor for his signature.

During this time when many Idahoans are facing economic hardship and financial challenges, it would have been devastating for the state to cut the Medicaid budget, as was in the original budget recommendation from the Governor. However, with your help, we were able to convince the Governor to revise his budget recommendation and use the funds available to support full funding of Medicaid, and the Legislature has now concurred. This was a huge win for all Idahoans in need of health care coverage, and your advocacy made it possible.

Thank you for your support on this important issue. Together we can help build a healthier Idaho.
