Raise your voice for Texas kids. Join the American Heart Association on March 23 at the State Capitol to support critical policies to make the healthy choice, the easy choice, for Texas children and families. 

Advocates of all ages from across the state are invited to join the fun this day. We'll be educating elected officials and their staff on policies to support healthy eating and active living, and it’s very important that they hear from constituents like you.

You don't have to be a policy expert to participate! Just bring your passion for heart health. We'll offer a pre-training conference call, which will be recorded so you can prepare at your convenience. Ahead of our legislative meetings on March 23, we'll gather over lunch to answer any questions and share our stories. Then we'll meet with key target lawmakers and their staff to discuss specific legislation to increase access to healthy food in underserved communities, identify physical education best practices, and encourage healthier early childcare environments.

Don't miss this special day, which will also feature a display of artwork from students across the state.
