Make Plans to Attend State Advocacy Day in Lincoln!

Plans are underway for our annual Advocacy Day at the Capitol in Lincoln on Tuesday, February 28th. Advocacy Day provides a great opportunity to highlight the important work being done to improve cardiovascular health across our state. Visiting with lawmakers about heart health issues is one of the best ways to make an impact on heart and stroke-related policies.

Advocacy day will begin at The Cornhusker Hotel where we will meet for breakfast at 8 am. Brian and Pam will lead a short advocacy training in preparation for our visits with lawmakers.  We will then walk over to the Capitol and meet with senators.  As in the past, we will pull senators off the Senate floor individually according to districts so our advocates can speak with their own state senator. We will gather for a group photo in the capitol rotunda before sending everyone on their way.

To RSVP to attend our Advocacy Day at the Capitol, please contact Pamela Miller.  We look forward to seeing you!
