It’s hard to believe it’s already November. We hope this finds you well and safe as we start the holiday season. While many things right now feel like they are on hold, the American Heart Association’s advocacy work is continuing.
We know the state will face some tough decisions in 2021 due to COVID-19. While we know lawmakers will be facing difficult choices we hope with your help we can continue advocating for important health issues including:

- Tobacco and e-cigarette control issues
- SNAP and funding for other food access programs to help the most vulnerable in our state
- A sugary drink fee to reduce consumption levels and to fund needed obesity prevention and health promotion programs addressing glaring health disparities in our state.
- Improving keiki health in state-licensed early childhood education centers.
