The Lakota Ambulance Service was recently notified that they have been selected to receive a grant from Bayer CropScience to support the HEARTSafe Community Program. Two local canola farmers nominated the ambulance service for a More for Everyone grant. This annual awards program financially supports small community groups. The Lakota Ambulance Service is one of 10 non-profit organizations across North Dakota receiving a total of $30,000 in donations from Bayer CropScience through the More for Everyone awards program.
“This is a blessing to everyone in the community,” says Mary Kay Schuh, Lakota Ambulance Service’s secretary and treasurer. “The HEARTSafe Community Program will protect the heart health and safety of everyone’s neighbors and loved ones in Lakota with more public hands-only CPR training and access to automated external defibrillators (AEDs) throughout the ambulance service area.”
