This year so far has been extraordinary. The South Dakota Legislature wrapped up it's work in Pierre in March and headed home leaving 35,000 South Dakotans behind by not addressing Medicaid Expansion. That's 35,000 of our friends and neighbors without access to health care coverage.

Next year when state legislators come back for session, where they can and should expand Medicaid.
Expanding Medicaid to provide health care coverage for our hardworking and low wage-earning neighbors is one of the best tools the state has in order to save lives. South Dakota can't wait any longer.
