The Pulse BR highlights the “new” young professional, the socially conscientious career-minded individual willing to pledge a little of their money, but also wants to be more hands on in their philanthropic efforts. These people aren’t just writing checks, they’re promoting and planning community events, doing large-scale fundraising and becoming politically active by advocating for health policy.

And it goes beyond that! The Pulse BR is cultivating the new generation of board of directors to continue the American Heart Association’s mission of building healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke. When asked, “How will your involvement with the AHA Pulse BR help support the fundraising and advocacy initiatives of the American Heart/Stroke Association?” member Sarah Paretti said, “I’m very interested in helping with disease prevention events. In addition to being passionate about living a healthy life, I am interested in educating others regarding the importance to do so.”

Those willing and able to invest their time, talent, resources and contacts to support Geaux Red and its initiatives are encouraged to contact Chelsea Moreau, Go Red For Women Director, at [email protected] or (504) 919-7893.
