East Baton Rouge Voters Support MovEBR

I’m happy to announce that the proposed 30-year half-cent sales tax dedicated to bike lanes, crosswalks, sidewalks, green spaces, and other road improvements in East Baton Rouge Parish has passed!

Even with low turnout - 25.5% - the voters of EBR said yes to making the community safer and healthy for all on December 8. The half-cent sales tax will last for 30 years and is expected to raise close to $1 billion for more than 70 projects around the parish.

Our grassroots push, city council testimony, and grasstop engagement really made a difference here. Mayor Broome personally thanked me last week for all the tweets and emails she was receiving from our advocates.
