Join Washington's Advocacy Committee!

We are seeking volunteers to join Washington State's Advocacy Committee. Our Advocacy Committee is made up of passionate volunteers who have helped us champion policies at the state and local level. No experience in advocacy required; we will train you on everything you need to know!

Responsibilities

  • Members to take 12 offline actions a year - about 1 action a month
  • Possible actions:
    • Acting as a spokesperson for a campaign
    • Joining at the Capital for a day of meetings
    • Providing testimony at a hearing
    • Being a sounding board for messaging for campaigns

Meeting Schedule

  • Committee meets quarterly, with at least one in person meeting when possible

Estimated Time Commitment

  • Four meetings a year, one in person
  • Depends on your availability; could be as little as 5 minutes per month in addition to quarterly meetings

Committee Composition

  • 6 - 12 members including a committee chair
  • Members with varied advocacy experience
