Join Us at the Heart Walk August 5

As August quickly approaches, we are looking forward to an event that embodies the science, community, and the opportunity for a heart healthy future that drives the mission of the American Heart Association - Heart Walk. The Heart Walk is the American Heart Association’s premier event for raising funds to save lives from this country's No. 1 and No. 5 killers - heart disease and stroke.

On Saturday, August 5th, residents of Hawaii from all backgrounds will join together to become a relentless force for a world of longer, healthier lives. Each walker’s contributions will go directly to the scientific research that leads to breakthroughs in heart health, like the science that created the artificial heart valve.

Heart disease and stroke survivors are an important part of our Heart Walks. Each survivor receives a red ball cap and has the opportunity to gather with other survivors. We're all tied to heart disease and stroke in some way, and we must change that. Every walker who joins, every dollar donated means more research, more people trained in lifesaving CPR, more medical breakthroughs and more champions for equitable health. Between the policy work and scientific research of the American Heart Association, we’re well on our way to doing just that.

If you aren't able to join us at one of the in person events we encourage you to go for a walk that morning where you live. Whether it's your neighborhood or your favorite park it's always nice to start your morning off with a heart healthy walk.
