Join Us for the 10th National Wear Red Day

This February we will be celebrating the 10th National Wear Red Day on Feb. 1, 2013. It is a great time to participate by proudly wearning red and fighting individually and together, as part of the movement. But the fight is far from over. This February let’s do more, let’s make sure that every landmark, every Main St., every organization and home in America Goes Red. Let’s turn America red to shine a spotlight on heart disease in women.

Heart disease is the No. 1 killer of women and is more deadly than all forms of cancer combined. Heart disease causes one in three women’s deaths each year, killing approximately one woman every minute, but only one in five American women believe that heart disease is her greatest health threat. Women are less likely to call 9-1-1 for themselves when experiencing symptoms of a heart attack than they are for someone else. The Go Red For Women movement has been impacting the health of women for 10 years; 330 fewer women are dying per day and nearly 90 percent have made at least one healthy behavior change.

Join us on February 1st by participating in our 10th Annual Wear Red Day by visiting http://www.goredforwomen.org/wearredday/
