Plans are underway for American Heart Association Day at the Capitol on Monday, February 9, 2015.  This is our opportunity to showcase the important work we do every day to reduce the impact of heart disease and stroke in our state.

We have a robust agenda to be considered by the assembly this year, including further inclusion of CPR in schools, funding for cardiac and stroke systems of care, programs to provide education and resources to reduce high blood pressure and the corresponding health complications, and improving EMS response systems with technology enhancements.

Activities for the day will include a Governor’s proclamation, survivor stories, education and resources from stakeholder partners, a heart-healthy lunch, a legislative reception, networking opportunities, and much more.

More details will be provided in the weeks ahead, however, if you have an interest in volunteering for the day, please contact Pamela Miller
