In a historic decision, the Boulder City Council voted in favor of placing an excise tax on sugary drinks on the November ballot! This ballot measure would enact a two cents per ounce excise tax on sugary drinks that would fund local health programs to improve nutrition and physical activity.

With the overwhelming support of Boulder residents and community leaders, this public health initiative positions Boulder as a leader in healthy living. We are asking our You’re the Cure advocates to join the movement to ensure that all Boulder families and kids get healthy.

With just 61 days until the November 8th election, we are going to need all hands on deck to ensure a victory for public health. Commit to vote YES on the sugary drinks tax ballot initiative and email [email protected] if you would like to get involved with the campaign for Healthy Boulder Kids.
