It's that bittersweet time of year...we have to say good-bye to the fun-filled, relaxing days of summer to the more regimented schedule as kids head back to school. But what exactly are we sending them back to? In New York City, our kids are going to schools where quailty physical education isn't guaranteed and you may not even have a certified PE teacher in your school. We're also not making sure our high school students are being taught one of the most fundamental skills we could ever know - how to save a life. CPR training is a simple, easy way to help strengthen NYC's chain of survival, especially when response time to a victim can be a challenge in our urban environment. I hope you'll join me in the months ahead as we focus on improving our schools by promoting heart-health!
