According to a 2018 Health Care Feasibility study, Illinois has over 500,000 residents that qualify for, but are not enrolled in, Medicaid or subsidized health insurance. These health insurance programs are already in place, however, many Illinoisans don’t know that they are eligible. We believe everyone, including those with chronic health conditions, should have access to comprehensive and affordable health coverage.
House Bill 5142 is supported by many organizations, including the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society-Cancer Action Network, American Lung Association, American Diabetes Association, Shriver Center, America’s Health Insurance Plans, and the Illinois Life & Health Insurance Council.
It's easy to make a difference today! Please take 30 seconds to send a message urging your senator to support House Bill 5142 when it comes before them for a vote.
