Katie Zumwalt - 2018 You're the Cure Champion
Over the course of the year, Katie has been an amazing champion of both the Physical Education and Tobacco 21 initiatives. She has also been a tremendous help at our Tobacco 21: Time is Now Day at the Capitol and our Student Day at the Capitol events. She has been awarded the 2018 You're the Cure Champion award in recognition of her passion, dedication, service and ongoing support of the life-saving mission of the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association.
Timothy Sanborn - 2018 Illinois Advocacy Committee Outstanding Leadership Award
Over the course of the year, Tim has led the Illinois Advocacy Committee and contributed to many local legislative wins for the Tobacco 21 initiative. He has been an issue expert and volunteer leader on Tobacco 21 efforts in Illinois. Tim has been awarded the 2018 Illinois Advocacy Committee Outstanding Leadership Award in recognition of his dedication, service, leadership and ongoing support of the life-saving mission of the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association.
Donald Zeigler - 2018 Legislative Champion Award
Don Zeigler has worked tirelessly on the Tobacco 21 front in Illinois alongside Timothy Sanborn. He has been an issue expert on Tobacco 21 and was essential to the many local Tobacco 21 victories. Don has been awarded the 2018 Legislative Champion Award in recognition of his expertise, dedication, service and ongoing support of the life-saving mission of the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association.
