Funding for Medicaid Program will be Voted on Soon

Late last week the Idaho Senate voted 29-6 in favor of funding the state's Medicaid program. We were expecting it to be voted on this week in the House but with the unexpected need to recess until April 6 due to multiple members of the House testing positive for Covid-19 that vote has been delayed.

We expect when the legislature reconvenes in April they will focus on budget issues including this one and it’s critically important we keep this funding moving.  During this time when many Idahoans are facing economic hardship and financial challenges, it would be devastating for the state to cut the Medicaid budget.

As it gets closer to April 6 we will be in touch to ask you to message your House member encouraging them to vote YES on this budget. Thank you for your support this session. Together we can help build a healthier Idaho.
