This February, show some love for your heart! Approximately 2,200 Americans die of cardiovascular disease each day – that’s an average of one death every 40 seconds. While you can’t change factors like age and family history, even modest changes to your diet and lifestyle can improve your heart health and lower your risk by as much as 80 percent.

That’s why the American Heart Association advocates for policies and programs that make it easier for New Yorkers to eat well, get active, access quality health care, and live tobacco-free. You can advocate for a healthier New York by visiting our NYC Action Center at https://www.yourethecure.org/newyorkcity.

Thank you for your support and have a happy and healthy American Heart Month -- and don't forget to Go Red tomorrow (Friday, Feb. 2) for National Wear Red Day!
