Lawmakers also passed a joint resolution in both the House and Senate, H.C.R.32, designating February 3rd as Go Red for Women Day. Forty-three lawmakers sponsored the legislation, which highlighted the fact that one in three women die of heart disease but that 80% of heart disease is preventable.

Then, legislators took to the floor to show their support for the cause by posing for their annual Go Red Photo on the House floor, which is also red.
