Join Us November 6th to hear how we can work together to make the Healthy Choice the Easy Choice in Vermont
We have some exciting news!
The American Heart Association is convening a meeting of the businesses and organizations who signed the healthy kids meals resolution to look at ways we can address the overwhelming impact of diet-related diseases in Vermont with an initial goal of passing the Healthy Restaurant Kids Meals legislation in 2018.
The first meeting of the Healthy Choices Vermont Coalition will be held November 6, 2107 from 4-6 PM at Down Home Kitchen, Montpelier.(Down Home Kitchen is one of 31 restaurants who have signed a letter of support.)
We believe that businesses, schools, cities and towns, and healthcare providers all play an important role in shaping the health of Vermonters and our common goal is to make the healthy choice the easy choice where we live, work, learn and play.
The meeting will include an overview of Vermont's Department of Health 3-4-50 campaign. 3-4-50 has proven to be a simple but powerful way to understand and communicate the overwhelming impact of chronic disease in Vermont. The meeting will also feature a delicious Healthy Kids Meal for you to sample!
