Have A Heart-Healthy Halloween

Make your Halloween festivities a little healthier for your family, party guests and trick-or-treaters!

Have a Plan: Don't make sweet treats off-limits.  Serve healthy snacks first and dress them up in a Halloween theme.

Keep Healthier Treats on Hand, Including Drinks: Opt for fruit or vegetables, trail mix, nuts, or pumpkin seeds. Cut back on sugar-sweetened beverages and drink more water. 

Get Some Exercise: Keep moving -- walk around the neighborhood and play games that promote physical activity.

Limit Excess Candy: Try putting the candy out of sight to enjoy in moderation and save to use in other creative ways.
