We have worked together to pass legislation in 2012 that ultimately leads to the gift of a more healthy life for Connecticut residents.
Because of your support all of Connecticut’s newborns will be tested for Critical Congenital Heart Disease, our elementary school students will have 20 minutes of physical activity a day to combat childhood obesity, and lives will be saved because of comprehensive cessation coverage now part of our state's Medicaid benefits.
2013 is going to be a bigger year with your help.
This year we are working on ensuring all our high school students are trained in lifesaving CPR, lowering teen smoking rates and raising tobacco prevention funds through an increase in the tobacco tax, and reforming the way the state purchases food with an eye on nutrition and cost savings.
Thank you and Happy New Year.
