Greece Central School District is now CPR Smart! The district adopted a CPR Smart policy - all of their students will now graduate knowing CPR and how to use an AED.
The district is now the largest district in New York State to be recognized as a CPR Smart School. During Physical Education classes, the district will partner with the American Heart Association and local fire districts and ambulance companies to provide hands-only CPR training to all Greece Athena students in grades 6-12. Students at Athena are the last of the district’s four middle/high schools to receive the hands-only CPR training. Students at Greece Odyssey were the first in September; Greece Olympia and Greece Arcadia followed in November. Following Greece Athena’s trainings, the District will have trained over 5,000 students in hands-only CPR.
That's right...5000 more lifesavers! Way to go Greece Central School District!
