What are complete streets? Instead of focusing solely on motor vehicles, Complete Streets policies help ensure neighborhoods are designed and built for the safety of all users, including those who walk, bike, use a wheelchair, push a stroller, use public transportation and drive.
Sidewalks that connect to parks, public transportation, and schools, roads that include designated and protected bike lanes, and streets that accommodate all residents can help us safely be active and improve our quality of life.
Special thanks to Cincinnati Board and Advocacy Committee member, Mark Caesar, for providing testimony on the issue, and to our incredible advocates for their calls and emails to councilors over the past few months. Your voice has helped make Cincinnati's streets safer and more accessible for all residents.
