Governor Burgum to Deliver State of the State Address

Newly-elected Governor Doug Burgum will deliver the State of the State Address to a joint session of the 65th North Dakota Legislative Assembly on Tuesday, January 3, in the House Chamber of the state Capitol in Bismarck.  The joint session will convene at 1 p.m. The public is invited to attend and doors to the Chamber will open at 12:30 p.m. Because space in the chamber is limited, the Governor’s address will be streamed live at www.governor.nd.gov. We encourage AHA advocates and volunteers to tune in to hear about Governor Burgum's priorities for the upcoming legislative session.

As AHA advocates, we are eager to hear from our new governor and to find out where our priorities for continued improvement of cardiac and stroke health in North Dakota overlaps with his priorities.  Specifically, we will encourage support for Cardiac Ready Community work launched through the cardiac and stroke task forces as a key part of this session.  We will also encourage Governor Burgum to support community/state collaboration to improve survival rates.
