Good News for Alaska Moms

The 2023 Alaska Legislative Session has ended, and we are excited to share good news for moms in Alaska.

Thanks to your help we were able to extend postpartum Medicaid coverage from the current 60 days to a full 12 months. Many health issues including heart disease and postpartum depression can be a problem after the 60-day mark and the previous 60-day coverage left women struggling to access affordable healthcare.  We believe that moms deserve the best care possible post pregnancy.

While it wasn’t easy, we wouldn’t have been successful without your help. Thank you for your support this year and we look forward to continuing our work with your help to build a healthier Alaska.
