Giving Back with Online Shopping

I am sure that all of us have made changes to our shopping habits with the stay at home orders.

We have shifted to online shopping and boxes have been piling up. Did you know that you can make your online purchase give back?

Amazon has a program called AmazonSmile. This program will donate a portion of the price of eligible purchases to the charity of your choice.

To sign up for AmazonSmile:

  1. Visit smile.amazon.com

  2. Sign in with your Amazon.com credentials

  3. Choose a charitable organization to receive donations, or search for the charity of your choice

  4. Select your charity like the American Heart Association
    AmazonSmile website
  5. Start shopping!

  6. Add a bookmark for smile.amazon.com to make it even easier to return and start your shopping at AmazonSmile.

Remember from the December post that researchers at Harvard have found that people rated themselves happier when they spent money on others than on themselves. The studies have shown that regardless of income level the people who spent more on other people besides themselves reported higher feelings of happiness.

So why not get what you need and give a little too!
