Send a Message in Support of Smoke-Free Columbus

On Tuesday, March 14, the Columbus City Council introduced an ordinance to create smoke-free bars and restaurants. This would be a major step forward for heart health in the city and throughout the State of Georgia!

Yet, there's talk about exempting businesses that have ventilation. The American Heart Association urges city leaders not to support any exemption. Ventilation systems only reduce the odor of smoke and NOT the hazardous chemicals and particulates of secondhand smoke.

City Council is expected to host one more public meeting to hear from residents about the ordinance before they vote on it.

Please speak up today for a 100% smoke-free Columbus!
