Find Smoke-free Atlanta at Upcoming Festivals!

The Smoke-free Atlanta Coalition, which consists of many national, state, and local organizations, will be out on the town in the next few weeks and we hope to see you there! On Saturday, November 4, we will be at the Cabbagetown Chomp and Stomp for the annual chili cook-off from 11AM -6PM. Then the following Saturday, November 11, we will be at the Atlanta Wine Festival at Historic Fourth Ward Park from 1 - 5PM . If you attend either of these events, please stop by and tell us hi!

We are looking for a few good people to volunteer for these events! These volunteers will represent the coalition at community events to educate people on the benefits of a smoke-free policy, collect petition signatures, and recruit advocates. We will provide training, so you feel comfortable discussing the ins and outs of a smoke-free policy. For more details, send me a quick email at [email protected]

Atlantans are very aware that it is election season and in the next few months we will have a new Mayor and eight new City Council members. Are you curious about how mayoral candidates feel about a smoke-free policy? Cancer Votes requested information from the candidates and they've compiled responses from those received. Check it out!

Stay tuned for more updates and don't forget to email me for more information about our upcoming events!
