We’re pleased to announce the appointment of our Georgia Advocacy Committee for 2018-2019. Returning to chair the committee this year is Laura Colbert, Executive Director of Georgians for a Healthy Future. Kimberly Goodloe serves as Vice Chair. She is a heart disease survivor and longtime advocate.

- Lisa Wilson, NCSN BSN RN, District Lead Nurse, Savannah-Chatham County Public School System;
- Kenneth Ray, Deputy Director, Office of Tobacco, Policy, System and Environmental Change Chronic Disease Prevention Section, Georgia Department of Public Health;
- Nettie Jackson, community advocate and former Multi-Cultural Initiatives Director for the American Heart Association;
- Michael Charles, Executive Director, The Better Outcomes Foundation; and
- Storm Goodlin, Georgia Grassroots Manager, American Cancer Society - Cancer Action Network.
Through the year, the Georgia Advocacy Committee will provide input on which state and local policies to pursue in the state to build a healthier future, as well as work to advance policy issues via their own activities and contacts.
