What do we have planned?

Starting with our local communities, we think everyone should have the right to breathe clean air.  When people live and work in spaces that are smoke-free, they can breathe easier knowing they are not being exposed to the diseases and risks that come with secondhand smoke.  Unfortunately, not everyone in Georgia is protected from secondhand smoke.  We are resolved to change this.

Right now, we are working in communities across the state to promote comprehensive smoke-free policies.  We’ve created an action center to help you have the information you need to know where things are happening and how to get involved.  Learn more by visiting: https://www.yourethecure.org/breatheeasygeorgia

Idea for you:  We will be updating the action center regularly – so bookmark the page so you can visit it often!

At the state level, the legislative session will commence on January 9th.  To help you be in the know about what’s in store for 2023 – we are hosting a Zoom chat on January 13th 11:30 am – 12 Noon.  During this chat, you’ll learn about our top issues, what’s already happening at the Legislature, and how you can make an impact working with us.

Legislative session is always a busy time – so start the session off right, with us and register now for the chat.

In collaboration with GA-CALL and Voices for Georgia’s Children, we are sponsoring an in-person panel discussion Jan 11 from 12:00 – 2:00 pm ET at the Georgia Freight Depot – Blue Room.  You will hear from legislators and state agency leaders about 2023 policy goals for young families and children.
