Friendly Reminder: Arizona’s Heart at the Capitol Day is January 18th

Please don’t forget that Arizona’s Heart at the Capitol is January 18th.  If you haven’t yet, please sign up today!  We need you to register early so we can notify legislators that you are coming to meet them! (And to prepare enough food for everyone, too!)

There is no previous advocacy experience necessary as we will provide training at the event. You will learn all about our issues, how to advocate to elected officials, and be provided with talking points that morning.

This year we plan to advocate for raising the purchasing age for tobacco products to 21 years old and legislation that will expand Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits to make purchasing fruits and vegetables easier.

I hope to see you January 18th! It’s still not too late to register. If you’re having troubles registering online, please email Josh Brown or Nicole Olmstead directly.
