The legislation is a key priority for the American Heart Association as it aims to improve care for stroke patients. If passed, it will:

  • Establish Acute Stroke-Ready Hospitals, hospitals that have the expertise and infrastructure to deliver high quality stroke care;
  • Fully fund our state’s stroke registry to collect and track treatment patterns over time that can be used to expose and address disparities; and
  • Encourage hospitals to share stroke data with the state’s stroke registry to monitor trends in the use of certain procedures and the prevalence of certain conditions.

The bill has two more committee stops before making its way to the full House. Please join us in thanking your representative today for support better care for stroke patients.

Together, we can help more Floridians beat stroke.
