On October 22nd, parents, children and other advocates from around Wisconsin gathered in Milwaukee to advocate for Senate Bill 104 and Assembly Bill 111, legislation that would ensure all newborns born in Wisconsin are screened for congenital heart defects prior to hospital discharge. We had a great turnout, and want to send a big Thank You to everyone who took the time to attend. Advocates were able to learn the latest news about the bills, listen to passionate speakers, and then take action by sending emails, making phone calls, sharing their stories on social media, and even recording a video message to Senator Vukmir, the Chair of the Senate Health Committee.
