When it comes to advocacy, retired cardiologist Walter Gundel takes on every task, big or small, with vigor.
This summer, Dr. Gundel testified before a legislative committee about the importance of pulse oximetry screening for newborns. This fall, he helped us promote nutrition standards for restaurant kids’ meals at a South Burlington restaurant.
This legislative session, he has already met with us and the Senate President about our full slate of legislative priorities, reached out to his senators about tobacco 21 legislation, and contacted the House Appropriations Committee about the importance of funding Vermont’s comprehensive tobacco control program.
After years of savings lives as a cardiologist, he continues to save lives as an advocate! Join Walt in promoting our priorities with your legislators.
