With the statewide election for Governor only six months away, a very crowded field of both Democrat and Republican candidates is beginning to take shape for at least one party. Democrat Ned Lamont, the Greenwich cable television entrepreneur, and the former gubernatorial candidate has announced that former Secretary of State, Susan Bysicwicz will be his running mate as Lt. Governor. This means that they will be able to begin to unify the party and get their message out to the voters well before the November elections. The Republicans still have numerous contenders and have yet to identify a frontrunner.

Outgoing Governor Dan Malloy is CT’s 88th Governor and has served since 2011.
