CAROL Act: Passes U.S. House and Senate!
The Cardiovascular Advances in Research and Opportunities Legacy or (CAROL) Act, which will prioritize research on valvular heart disease recently and unanimously passed the U.S. House and Senate and now heads to President Biden’s desk to be signed into law. This bill will have life-saving impacts across the country and is named in honor of Congressman Andy Barr’s late wife Carol who passed away suddenly. The CAROL Act will inspire scientists and researchers, create more awareness of valvular heart disease and save lives.
