After two hearings on the measure, the House Human Services Committee passed S.70, legislation that would set healthy beverages as the default beverages for restaurant kids meals in Vermont.

Their action mirrors the vote by the Senate, and the Senate Health and Welfare Committee who both passed the legislation with unanimous votes.

The bill now goes to the full House for a vote. Urge your legislators to vote "yes" and take an important step towards obesity prevention. You can find your House members here.

If passed, Vermont would be the first state in the nation to require healthy beverages for kids with restaurant kids meals. Help us be a leader in kids' health!
