Do you have a pre-teen or teenager? Do you work in schools or other settings with youth? Please join the American Heart Association and MaineHealth as we discuss the facts about JUUL and other electronic cigarettes, vape pens, mods and other nicotine addiction methods that Maine youth are using at alarming levels. Our kids are getting hooked and addicted and most adults don’t even know it.

Our youth cigarette smoking rates are declining, but as one teenage girl said to a reporter for a recent New Yorker article: “Smoking is gross,” she said. “Juuling is really what’s up.” JUUL and other e-cigarettes appeal not only to students who traditionally became smokers but to those who did not. Varsity athletes, class valedictorians and those from higher-income families are using these highly addictive and virtually undetectable products. They are trying to quit and can't.

So, come and learn more. Tell your school administrators and school board members.

When: May 31st 5:00-6:30

Where: Scarborough High School Auditorium

To Register: https://lrcclasses.coursestorm.com/

The event is free, but MaineHealth has graciously agreed to take donations to the American Heart Association.

See you there and come introduce yourself to me at the end.
