Last Friday 30 AHA volunteers met at the Capitol in recognition of National Wear Red and to advocate for heart healthy policies.

Volunteers made their way to the Senate Floor and then the House Floor where a resolution declaring February 7 “Wear Red Day in Colorado” was read. We would like to thank our sponsors Senator Aguilar in the Senate and Representatives Hullinghorst and Szabo in the House.

Advocates then met with their elected officials and encouraged support for CPR in Schools.  We will have more on this legislation in coming days but our Wear Red Day was a great kickoff to the legislative session!
