thumbnail_alt_text===AHA Denver staff prepare to canvass in Lakewood.
This past weekend, AHA staff and volunteers spent time canvassing in Denver and Colorado Springs, helping to educate folks on the benefits of Proposition FF, which will help ensure healthy and nutritious meals for all Colorado public school children.
Thanks to the AHA staff from the Denver office who joined a canvassing crew in Lakewood. Kudos to Kaylin Downour, Lindsay Phelan, Chloe Brown, Kelli Anderson, Eric Heydorn and Takiyah Wilson for stepping out of their comfort zone and volunteering their time to speak directly with voters. Together, they visited more than 150 homes and had many great conversations with voters on the importance of voting YES on FF.
As you might recall, more than 60,000 children in Colorado can’t afford school meals but don’t qualify for free or reduced-price lunches. Our children shouldn’t have to worry about the cost of lunch or skip a meal because their family can’t afford it.

Remember to VOTE YES ON FF. Together, we can help set our children on the path to lifelong health and success by making sure there is access to free, nutritious meals for all students in public schools.
