It all starts with a simple step forward.  One of the easiest ways to move toward a more active and healthy lifestyle is by walking.  That's why the American Heart Association sponsors National Walking Day every year - to encourage walking as way to lead a heart-healthy life.  Augustana College in Sioux Falls took part in the walk this year as a way to encourage employees to incorporate walking into their everyday routines.  Organizer of the walk, and volunteer advocate for the American Heart Association, Mary Toso, said, "I think it's important for people to try and get active, and a good, fresh walk is the perfect way to stay fit."

Chrissy Meyer, Director of Corporate and Media Relations with the AHA encouraged businesses across the city to participate in National Walking Day.
