Alaska Session Wraps up for 2024

Key bills we supported, passed and now are on the Governor’s desk. One bill will expand the number of families who can afford childcare by making subsidies more inclusive, and more closely align Alaska’s subsidy level with the actual cost of care. The other will increase access to and participation in SNAP programs, reducing food insecurity, and ensuring fewer children and families go hungry. We expect the Governor to take action on these bills within the next month.
