State Budget Heads to Governor’s Desk

Alabama’s General Fund budget heads to Governor Ivey’s desk for signature.

According to AL.com, "the budget calls for spending $1.85 billion from the General Fund, the same as this year. Most agencies would receive about the same amount as this year.

Budget chairman Steve Clouse, R-Ozark, said the plan reserves $93 million to carry over for 2019 or to use as a contingency against possible changes coming out of Washington that could affect Medicaid and the Children's Health Insurance Program."
