We’ve grown from humble beginnings into the nation’s oldest and largest voluntary organization dedicated to fighting heart disease and stroke. Together with our millions of volunteers and supporters, we’ve made an extraordinary impact.

Still, heart disease and stroke remain the leading killers in the world. We believe everyone everywhere deserves a long, healthy life, and it’s our goal to help them achieve it.

So, we’ve embraced an updated mission here at the American Heart Association to keep up with an ever-changing world.

Our Mission: To be a relentless force for a world of longer, healthier lives.

To be a relentless force for a world of longer, healthier lives.

We’re dedicated to achieving new goals and maximizing our impact. We’ll do that by funding the best research, implementing life-saving programs, and shaping public policies that affect our health. Will you join us? Are you ready to be relentless?

You might have also noticed that we have a new look. The iconic heart and torch got a modern update, and our www.heart.org homepage has a new look and improved functionality. We’re committed to getting you the information you want and need to help make a difference.

In the midst of these exciting changes, we remain committed to working alongside you to create healthier communities. Because we all want to see a world free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke.
