During the recent Arkansas legislative fiscal session, Adyson (Ady) Coleman, her mother Christa Coleman, and family friend Krista Thornton came to visit lawmakers at the Arkansas State Capitol.  Ady, a heart survivor, was at the capital to show her support for Arkansas Works by sharing thank you notes with lawmakers that were supportive of the program.  Ady met with House Minority Leader Michael John Gray, Rep Kim Hammer, Rep Charlene Fite, Sen Jon Woods, and Sen Alan Clark.

Thanks in part to the hard work of the Coleman family and You're The Cure advocates like them all over the state, Arkansas Works was passed by the General Assembly!

Are you also interested in making a trip to the Arkansas State Capitol to visit your elected officials?  Please consider attending our upcoming Arkansas Advocate Summit in Little Rock on May 21st and find out about opportunities during the next legislative session to advocate for heart-healthy policies in Arkansas.  To learn more about The Summit please CLICK HERE.
