Mountaineers from across the state gathered at the Capitol to meet with their lawmakers to discuss policies like Telephone CPR, protection of local smoke-free indoor air laws and funding for tobacco and obesity prevention programs. Advocates came from all backgrounds, from board members and long-time volunteers to many students from the University of Charleston School of Nursing and School of Pharmacy. The day ended on a powerful note as our advocates were invited to the WV Senate floor for a photo op as the Senate proclaimed the day “Go Red for Women Day” in the Mountain State.
