What brought you to be an advocate for the American Heart Association? 

My Mother is a heart attack survivor and had double bypass almost 20 years ago. This December marks 20 years of hard work and recovery.

 

What issues or policies are you most passionate about and why? 

Social justice, health and education-domestic policies that help us to all have better health and lives.

 

What is your favorite advocacy memory or experience so far and what made it great? 

I just started, so still collecting some memories.

 

What is your favorite way to be active? 

I love to do yoga and go for walks.

 

What is your favorite fruit or vegetable? 

Favorite fruit--I love blueberries.

Fave veggie--I like mushrooms (do they count?) and broccoli.
