What brought you to be an advocate for the American Heart Association?
I am a flight nurse, I've been a RN/Paramedic, ACLS & CPR certified, and an instructor for years. I started working with community cardiac readiness, and enjoy working with others to improve the health of North Dakotan's.
What issues or policies are you most passionate about and why?
Cardiac Ready Communities - teaching people on Cardiac and Stroke health to hopefully saving lives by prevention and early recognition.
What is your favorite advocacy memory or experience so far and what made it great?
I am fairly new to the North Dakota Advocacy Committee and I am enjoying it so far. I like meeting people and promoting heart healthy activities.
What is your favorite way to be active?
I enjoy playing and doing activities with my grandchildren. I have 8 of them.
What is your favorite fruit or vegetable and any tips for how you serve or prepare it?
My favorite fruit is fresh blueberries.
